About the Laboratory

The Quantum Spintronics Laboratory (Q-SPIN LAB) is a research group in the Department of Physics, School of Basic and Applied Sciences at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur. The laboratory is dedicated to experimental and computational research in condensed matter physics, spintronics, nanomagnetism, and quantum materials.

Our research combines advanced thin-film engineering, magnetic characterization, spin transport measurements, and artificial intelligence to discover and optimize next-generation materials and devices for low-power information technologies.

Vision

To establish Q-SPIN LAB as a globally recognized center for excellence in spintronics, altermagnetism, topological materials, and quantum technologies through innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and high-impact scientific research.
